The Duchess of Cambridge isn’t one to shy away from recycling fashion. In fact, the future Queen of England has been known to wear a look at least twice and truth be told, that’s what we love about her. For the annual Diplomatic Reception at Buckingham Palace, the Duchess pulled out her bespoke red Jenny Packham gown (which she first wore for her first state banquet at Buckingham Palace in October 2015) making for a picture perfect night with the royal family—which inspired us for our own holiday wardrobe. Atop her head, Princess Kate wore the Cambridge Lover’s Knot Tiara which was a wedding present to the late Princess Diana from the Queen. This would be the second time she wore the tiara, the first for last year’s Diplomatic Reception, pairing it with an ice blue Alexander McQueen gown (similar look).
While the exact Jenny Packham dress is no longer available, there are some strikingly similar styles from Kate’s favorite designer, including the Elbow-Sleeve Embellished Gown featuring an embellished-lace bodice with double georgette skirt, as well as this long-sleeved version.
But real talk: her glittering tiara wasn’t the only enviable piece of jewelry she sported that night. The Duchess wore a set of stunning drop earrings loaned to her for the night by the Queen. We first saw these stunning earrings in 2012 paired with a Preen dress.
